Canterbury Stars Return
6th Variety & Visual Arts Show
Canterbury Grad Penelope Corrin and guests presented an amazing show on Feb 9/08 at Canterbury High School, raising about $12,000 for the school!
Penelope, at the time was one of the stars of Air Farce Live on CBC-TV, was joined by perennial MCs Martin Gero and Kurt Smeaton, and a stunning line up of talent including singer Rob Torr, aerial gymnast Tyler Burke, ballroom dancer Bianca Howell, celtic fiddler and singer Sarah Burnell, not to mention Cirque de Soleil clown Mooky (and her able volunteer assistant from the audience!)
Thanks to all the scores of volunteers and entertainers who made this happen, especially Director Jim McNabb, producers Judy Kirsh and Rachel Collins, and the Stars Return Organizing Committee.
Videos!
MCs Martin Gero and Kurt Smeaton made some fabulous videos to introduce previous Stars Return Shows.

All About Me (2004)

Canterbury Stars Return hosts Martin Gero and Kurt Smeaton presented a great 6-minute musical video in 2004 called All About Me. It also stars Canadian Air Farce’s Jessica Holmes, another Canterbury grad, as well as Sean Cullen and Michael Therriault, who were the stars of the musical hit The Producers in Toronto.

Back from Prison (2005)

In 2005, Kurt & Martin had a terrific sequel to All About Me, documenting their time in prison for stealing some of the proceeds of last year’s fund-raiser.
